Purpose
Improved school performance as a result of increased quality
of online educational activities.
Specific objectives
1. Teachers and students to acquire the necessary skills for quality online teaching/learning;
2. The teachers must ensure the students’ acquisition of knowledge, and the development of skills and competences;
3. Increasing awareness of the need to have an appropriate strategy so that students’ knowledge during online school is not affected.
Project results
The SHQOE project has yielded impactful results, manifesting in a brochure showcasing both best and challenging practices in online education. Additionally, a comprehensive training course for high-quality online education, a training kit, and a student guide on crafting a digital portfolio have been successfully developed.
Complementing these primary outcomes are two additional products. The first is a guide aimed at motivating students through the use of digital portfolios, providing insights into fostering a sense of engagement and purpose in the online learning environment. The second product is a guide designed for teachers, offering strategies on how to actively involve parents in supporting their children during the online schooling period.
Together, these products represent a holistic approach to enhancing the online education experience. From equipping educators with effective training tools to empowering students with digital portfolio skills, and extending support networks to involve parents, the SHQOE project stands as a comprehensive initiative dedicated to advancing the landscape of online education.
All project results can be downloaded and used for free by all stakeholders.
